My Background and Qualifications
I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor, with a L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB). My core practice is Person-Centred Therapy, although if it feels right for you we may integrate creative practices through Gestalt therapy using objects or empty chairs to promote your healing.
As a counsellor, it is important to act ethically and as such I am a Registered member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their strict ethical regulations to ensure best practice at all times. I work and have worked on a voluntary basis for counselling charities since 2011, as I believe it is important that counselling is accessible to all in need, regardless of income.
I have experience in working with people who are going through life issues such as:
Abortion, abuse, addiction, ADHD, alcoholism, affairs, anger management, attachment disorder, Autism, bereavement, betrayal, bullying, career issues, childhood trauma, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, disabilities, divorce, domestic abuse, eating disorders, family issues, feeling sad, grief, health anxiety, infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, loneliness, low confidence, low self-esteem, miscarriage, panic attacks, phobias, postnatal depression, PTSD, pregnancy and birth, racism, redundancy, relationship problems, self-harm, separation, sexual abuse, spirituality, stress, trauma, workplace stress.
